California Civil Code has changed. Associations are now allowed to use electronic mail -instead of regular first-class mail- for distributing certain notices and some of the legally required annual disclosures/distributions to the association members.
Associations can now comply with the law by posting certain notices and some of the legally required annual disclosures / distributions to the association’s homeowner access portal, furnished by Fidelity Management.
This change in the law allows associations to save all the cost associated with snail-mailing its members (copies, postage and envelopes), which can be significant.
